What can be done about Australia's rabbit population?

I read in the 19th Century they introduced Rabbits and they slowly took over without predators, now they are pests, and ought to be gotten rid of for not being endemic....

What I'd do is hire thopusands of professional hunters and trappers, and provide them around the clock with butchers and freezer trucks, and then just let them hunt rabbits night and day and then sell dressed rabbits to starving Indian and Indonesian Villagers for almost nothing, and provide rabbit skins to the fur industry, until they got every rabbit...That would not be so hard, yes%26gt;?

BIRTH CONTROL
Reply:I would breed kangaroos that eat rabbits.
Reply:In many parts of Australia it is hard to find a rabbit, their effects are largely historical. Diseases were the most effective agents used. Hunting seldom works since the hunters always leave for a better area before they kill all of the rabbits in an area.
Reply:They need to introduce rabbit meat as a healthy food ,they contain no cholesterol and they are lean and tasty to eat!
Reply:Sounds like a plan to me. I like a bit of rabbit now and then.
Reply:take coyotes now to take care of the rabbits.
