How to avoid cancer in the human body?

you may wonder why american people are most people who are suffering from cancer , cyst , colon cancer , skin disease and others....

WHY?? " BEEF meat"

Burger , steak , Fries (mcdonald %26amp; other fastfood chain (Tallow or Beef oil being used )

beef is = Virus Booster

Beef information is not being publish in the health, because it will kill the cow market and industry.

Shrimp and crab are also secondary virus booster.

at least you have known these info, you want to know more or curious and not convince?? or want proof? or testing?? email me, amigolee_r@yahoo.com

AND share this information to person you care and love , or other people. SAVE life

How to avoid cancer in the human body?
Three important factors:

- Don't smoke

- Stay fit

- Die young

According to Scientific Americans special issue on cancer (sept. 99?) the majority of cancers can be associated with age, smoking or lack of exercise in combination with too much food. About 25% could not be attributed to any cause you could possibly influence, less than 5% could be attributed to radiation (UV, and some to natural radioactivity), less than 5% are a consequence of earlier exponation to carcinogenes in work, and less than 2% to general environmental pollution. The effect of virus and alcohol was not quantified.

The 25% you cannot avoid is mainly due to byproduct of your ordinary metabolism, mainly due to oxygene reduction creating a certain amount of oxygene radicals.
Reply:Cancer is mostly genetic.
Reply:NOTHING CAN PREVENT CANCER EVEN THE MORE HEALTHIER PERSON ON EARTH CAN GET IT
Reply:Do you wonder why Americans are dying from cancer at such a fast speed every year?

Well, get the facts:

1. In most cities there are over 60,000 artificial chemicals tha enter the body and accumulate in the lymphatic system.

2. Almos all of our foods are either radiated, full of articial additives, colorants, or have been processed at such a high temperature that their nutrient's molecular estructure is re-arranged or re-designed to kill you slowly--inflammatory diseases whi eventually lead to cancer!

3. Most people drink less than 1/8th the amount of water they should drink, and cellular dehydration, in time, will definitely deprogram the cells' DNA = cancer.

4. This is a fried food or "fast food" nation. Animal fat, or refined vegetable oils, or hydrogenated oils, are responsible for the depletion of vital biochemical materials necessary to pevent bio-chaos within the cells' environment.

5. Add also the fact that we never pay attention to what we put on our skins... Whatever we use on our skins will only take 4 minutes to reach the liver. If by chance that cream or hydrating whatever you're using, is filled with petrochemicals or any other unnatural chemical, chances are that your body will have to store tons of toxins through the years. And toxins play a key rol in cancer onset.

5. And last but not least, as a society we're immersed so deeply into cooked foods, with little raw food on our table. Raw foods compensate the biological stress we submit our bodies to when we abuse cooked foods.

Here you got it!
Reply:When you find the answer to that question you would not be able to count your money without thousands of people looking over your shoulder. Cancer was even prevalient during "ShakeSpear's time. I know it has to be generic. But then you ask how can some people live to be well over 100. One lady in Russa lived to be 126 yrs.old. Documented!

I told one of my doctors many, many years ago that I was ate up with cancer but you experts in the Medical Profession cannot find it. LOL. Even my Urologist died at 37, guess what? from Kidney cancer. His son now has his practive. Mel Duggan, was his name. Looked great, but next time I called for an appointment he was as dead, as dead can get. I don't understand, and never will I ever understand.

I did not want to mention this but maybe an Urologist is on-line. I had my P checked 24 months ago at it was 4.2.

My PCP sent me to an Urologist and sure enough out of 13 bi-ops taken I had one cancer core with 5% involvement whatever that means. Six months later I went back and my PSA level was 6.3. The left side of the gland was clean. Now instead of an operation which I thought I was to have he has placed me on the "active survelliance" list. So I go back on November 11th to get anothr PSA test. he says that it is still contained in the gland, but how in the hell does he know.

I think he is delaying the operation due to other problems, and the problems I had coming out of my last two surgeries, knee, and cyst on back. I have a friend I gruaduated with that is an MD in another city not far from me. I am going to talk with him and see if I can get an opinion on what to do. The Urologist will give you your options but will not tell you you should do this.
Reply:Cancer crosses all borders. It is not exclusive to Americans at all. In fact according to the 2007 statistics Americans with cancer are declining due to public awareness and better treatment. Countries that are struggling with cancer are lower income that do not have access to good healthcare.

Mona Lisa or Sapphire which one is hot for a future famous singer?

hey im 17 and my vocal range is likefrom mary j blige tina turner and beyonce i have an 2.3 octave range and im light skin almond shape eyes and curvy body i just wanna know like i dont know any names stages names that represents me im a leo that's my sign and you could look up at leo and see what are dislikes and likes about us but anyways i just wanna havea stage names everyone can remember pronounce like everyone know beyonce and mary j blige they have sexyfamous names i dont wanna use my real names robin dont wanna mistaken for robin thicke or rihanna real names robin i wanna have my own real names like something no one ever heard before something that's hot witha a bice body im a good role model and i dont wanna sell sex like people do in the industry but i some names from you guys and i know yahoo answers have smart people with intelligience you think MONA LISA OR SAPPHIRE is hot like im an r%26amp;b chick withpop and jazz all together something that hot HELP! HOT NAMES!!!

Mona Lisa or Sapphire which one is hot for a future famous singer?
Sorry I haven't heard your stuff so I can't give a valid opinion, but here are some tips:

- Your name should be a reflection of the style that you are bringing.

- since you're an r%26amp;b mixed with pop %26amp; jazz your name should reflect the merging of those three different musical genres - it should be vibrant yet smooth

- perhaps you should seek a name that is an oxymoron since you are merging genres that are not generally brought together in order to represent the merging of those three worlds

- provide a combonation of where you're from or something that reminds you of where you've been (e.g. Dru Hill, 702)

Additional Info:

- I would not go with Mona Lisa for legal reasons as there is already an r%26amp;b singer named Mona Lisa.

- Sapphire does not seem to incorpate the pop element that you are bringing. I find that the name leans more towards the jazz side.

- Perhaps you could do what Rihanna did which was to use to her middle name as her stage name or you could present a combination of your first and middle names

- or use just your last name such as r%26amp;b singer Avant
Reply:Neither one....can't really show off your voice or style with either...select something else for a really hot sound ....and voice show off...
Reply:Personally, I think you're the only one that can really decide on a name because you know yourself better than anyone else. As long as your name is catchy and it reflects you. Given the choise of those 2 names I'd choose Sapphire cuz Mona Lisa was already used by a female R%26amp;B singer. There's a link to her song below.

I want to become a model, but I don't know where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas, connections?

I'm 5'8, slim, pretty, exoctic features, African- American: light brown skin, brown hair, dark brown eyes, and 18 yrs. old.

If anyone knows of anything to help me, your help would be greatly appreciated. I've been told a lot that I should try modeling, but so far I've been focused on school. Modeling and fashion is my passion but I'm not sure how to get started in the fashion industry... Help please

I want to become a model, but I don't know where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas, connections?
Your too short to be a fashion model by most standards but I would still give it a shot! Look up the modeling agencies in your area and ask if they have open calls or if you can send in your pic. Keep in mind- NO legitimate modeling agency will ask you to pay money to them. If they want you to do classes or give them money for pictures- run! There will probably be lots of agencies like this when you do your search. Also, NY and LA are hotspots for modeling so if you're close to there, you might want to make a trip.
Reply:I would suggest doing your home work 1st, find places online where models and photographers and other professionals in the business hang out, Try to make a few model friends with models that have experience that can answer questions about the business for you, provide your practical and advice from experience.

Do a web search or go to your local library and find any information on how to get started as a model and begin to learn the game, as modeling is much much more than "me pretty take my picture"

The more you learn from info online and published info the quicker you will learn what to be wary of and what to avoid.

Be prepared to handle rejection and not let that phase you or end your interest just keep pounding the pavement because modeling is competitive and with 1,000's upon 1,000's of models out there it is not easy to do as it may seem and yes many girls are told "they should be a model" when in fact maybe they should not be...it's easy to be the cutest girl in your local sphere but when you try to enter the world of modeling you will find you will not be prettiest girl in the place and may not get noticed like you may be use among your friends or area.

Success as a model may never be because of your personal efforts to be successful but may be pure luck and being in the right place at the right time.

Models like Cindy Crawford who wasn't even thinking of being a model at the time, I think was something like 16 and working after school or something like that in a corn field in Illinois when a photographer spotted her by chance and the rest is history, and that story in different forms can be heard from many top models in one variation or other on how they became a model, naturally your not tall enough for fashion modeling or runway but there are other areas girls like you based on your looks and body may have success in.

If your serous you really need to find a professional photographer in your area that you are willing to pay to start a portfolio for you or one that may be willing to do a TFP or time for prints shoot with you..once you have a portfolio you can then start submitting your photo's to agencies, modeling contest/competitions, create promotional pages on model directory type websites that may get you noticed , work or just more contacts with photographer to help keep expanding your portfolio and possible referral for projects they may be aware of you might try for etc etc.

Is obsession with looking young a Caucasian issue?

In caucasians, beauty is defined in youth ( age 14 to 34/35). After which, there's a SHARP decline of features %26amp; skin texture, and a quick deterioration. Eg Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts.

Best example: Watch any episode of Friends Season 1, and even five years later, they look like 5 different ppl. In their tenth season, they look like they aged 15-20 years, ESP Joey.

Of all races, Caucasians seem to bloom the best, but they bloom early and, like a rose, fade as quickly too. Since mainstream Hollywood, big fashion houses and the music industry have picked up on this fact, they usually front young white people to sell movies, music, fashion, and this obsession with a young image is translated world-wide.

But within US and outside, women come from SO many races, how can a single race be the standard of beauty, youth, ageing, wrinkles for everyone??

Is obsession with looking young a Caucasian issue?
First of all let me say this: Many believe youth tie into beauty because the younger individual, male or female always has a more innocent, kind, pure look.

With that being said I don't think society's obsession is about explicitly youth but rather the bigger picture of beauty. I believe that society has put such an emphasis on beauty that all other values are slowly deteriorating. For example look at movie stars/ models, why is it that these individuals although so "beautiful" are placed on the same if not higher standing than the Fidel Castros, the President Bushes? Do these individuals such as Julia Roberts etc. really contribute to society? Do they really help make society develop. Sure it's given that they are entertaining, but I think society has placed such an emphasis on entertainment and especially beauty without focusing on the real issues.
Reply:I do not think it is racial issue at all. Halle has had as many alterations as Meg and Julia.

We have only three things in life; time, effort and money and we all value the three differently. But that still makes time a major factor in all our lives.

At the age of 62, I have noticed that every ten years like at 35, 45, 55, my physical abilities change considerably as well as how others view me.

Any cosmetologists or other beauty professionals here?

I would love to hear from anyone who is a cosmetologist, easthetican, nail tech., anyone in the beauty industry, about your career. I am a paralegal but thinking of going to cosmetolgy school . I was enrolled once but I have tendonitis in my shoulder, and that prompted me to get a PL degree instead. My shoulder still hurts, but I am still very interested in cosmetology. My questions are basically: do you find there are a lot of career opportunities? How is the pay? Does cosmetology school really prepare you for makeup application and skin care? The school I'm looking at claims to, but they must not cover it too thoroughly or they wouldn't have an easthetics class, right? I'm also interested in nails, but don't think I would want to do just that. I wish there was a course that combined everything! Also, how physically demanding is this type of work, would you do it with tendonitis in your shoulder?? Any information about this type of career would be greatly appreciated!

Any cosmetologists or other beauty professionals here?
It all depends on the state. Each state has its own regulations so your school will be within its state's mandates. Where I work I only do hair but I could do nails and makeup. The nail tech class is good if you want to do acrylic nails as this will give you good practice making the nails look good. I am planning on getting my esthetician's license soon so I can do more with electricity. This business is definitely hard on the body so if you are not used to standing for hours then I would recommend building up your tolerance. As for your shoulder you can talk to a kinesthetic specialist to see if your shoulder will get worse. He/she can recommend exercises to strengthen your body.

How can i look like a pornstar?(FOR GUYS AND GIRLS)?

i have pale skin, dark red shoulder length hair,5,5,110 pounds, brown eyes,im bi,and i like to work out.if you try to convince me that i shouldnt look like that or not to get in that industry, please dont waste your time and move on to the next.

How can i look like a pornstar?(FOR GUYS AND GIRLS)?
-remove all the hair on your body.

-Take VERY good care of your bod. Drink 8 glasses of water per day so the skin can look hydrated.

-Wash skin at least every other day to keep clean

-USe FAKE tans, getting a real tan could make you age earlier and give you these age spots and wrinkles on your bod, so AVOID tanning.

-If you have small breasts, you might have to get implants...

If you have light skin that burns and freckles easier, than put on a LOT of sunblock before going outside.

Bascially, take very good care to make your body look nice and healthy and go to the gym a lot.

Get lots of sleep too. (to get your skin at its best and to avoid bags under eyes, believe me, concealer doesnt work well, even though it reduces the appeearence of bags, you can still easily see it)
Reply:Get breast implants. Oh, and be sure to wax... everywhere.
Reply:fake boobs. fake tan. fake nails. get botox in your lips. wear lots of makeup. get those really high heeled shoes. dress like a ho.
Reply:Yeah, implants and wax. Have fun!!!
Reply:just get naked...dont need any talent....good luck....
Reply:Go to pornfidelity.com and look at a porn star to see if you really want to be one. they are really not much to look at
Reply:take care of your skin.

get into Yoga and practice it, to enhance physical flexibility.

In addition to breast implants, consider lip injections to get that Angelina Jolie/pouting-lip look.

IF YOU ARE IN THE MODELING WORLD?

I'm not completely clueless about this industry, but tips and advice would CERTAINLY help.

Now for my question. I am 14 years of age, I am 5'9, but I am not skin and bones. I DO NOT mean that I am fat. I am just about as skinny as I can possibly be, but I am "big boned". In other words, I have wide hips..and a LITTLE bit of a braoder structure. My stomach is completely flat, and my arms and legs are toned. But I'm still not a stick. Is that going to be a problem?

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT I AM NOT:http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi... something in that genre.

HERE'S AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT I AM:http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi... little bit bigger though.

IF YOU ARE IN THE MODELING WORLD?
Here is a healthy suggestion: dont worry about it;

eat healthy and stop trying to compare yourself to super models. Your dreams of grandeur are going to get smashed against the rocks sooner or later.
Reply:There is room for all types of models. If you want to be a mainstream model then they will expect you to be a bag of bones. If you want to be an oversize model, then being "big" (big compared to these skeletons on the catwalks) is part of your job.
Reply:mmm... ive been trying 2 become a model... but i sort of gave up... cause... ya... didnt want 2 after all... but size wont matter... my partner 4 my magazine was big boned... and she got really good shots of her... so... =] good luck
Reply:skinny, skinny models are made for runway, you could do print work, get an agent, a nice portfolio, at least 3 head/3-3/4 body/3-full body shots of your self, and don't forget the black%26amp;white head shot, and do smile in it.

Do a set of glamor, one set of fun/sporty/ and one of casual/business.

Many agency's are looking for real girls, you seem to fit the bill. Don't let anyone discourage you. A nice place to start is in commercials, not sure where you are from, but google..Casting calls for your area, and there should be some work in your area. If not call, and ask if they will do e-mail interviews, for photos...Becareful, it's a strang business, and could be a bad one.

Good Luck ...
Reply:Don't really worry about it (the weight). If you are good at what you do and you have the right attitude, then you will have no trouble in whatever you want to do in life.

Just eat healthy, get lots of sleep and work out regularly and you will be fine!
Reply:The woman in the first picture is clearly anorexic. She looks incredibly unhealthy and its also very unattractive to be that thin. If thats what it would take for you to get into the modeling world it wouldn't be worth sacrificing your health.

Second model was pretty attractive though (too skinny to be my ideal idea of what a women should look like though). You can tell she probably diets and does cardiovascular and possibly light weight training as well. I'd say that about 60-80% of the women out there would look incredibly sexy using that kind of workout regimen.
Reply:tbh, you need to get skinnier. Get some professional quality photos and a business card and go to shows and hand them out to who's running the show. If they think you're good, they'll help you out. That's how I did it.

*I forgot one thing. You need to have a perfect walk. So work on it :]

Good luck.

How do I look fashionably pale (like Nicole Kidman) and not scary white?

I'm going to LA for business in January and will be surrounded by the top people in fashion and the entertainment industry. I'm naturally pale, but I've never really known how to pull it off. I don't want to look like some midwest girl who's coming to LA. Tanning isn't really an option for me since I just burn instead. Any ideas of how I can make my pale skin look beautiful instead of blinding? Thanks!

How do I look fashionably pale (like Nicole Kidman) and not scary white?
i think make up wise you should use browns and gold for eyeshadows and bold light colors like lime green. if you use dark colors like black that will make you look'scary'. and for lips a lovly dark pink or light red would lok gud aswell as a nude color with a lipliner :D and clothes wise use colors that are darker than your skin colour but not too dark like purple and blue. o ye for suits and formal wear creams, and browns go well. you could wear black but use a interesting coloured blouse. :D
Reply:You could use a little bit of baby powder
Reply:if you have blonde hair, go for something darker...like a light brown or something..and great eye makeup always helps
Reply:Fashionably pale? Are you kidding me? Welcome to America everybody, where we follow celeberties who are no more important than the average joe, the most materialistic place on Earth. There is this thing called a 'spray-on tan' BTW.
Reply:baby pink blush. you'll look sweet and rosy. trust me on this one

Gallbladder Problems or something else? How do I counteract too much calcium in my diet?? Magnesium?

I have been experiencing gallstone like symptoms for 1.5 yrs now. I thought I was going to die the first time I had one. Immediately, the 1st thing the doctors wanted to do when I had pain in my midsection was call it acid-reflux and gave me antacid. When that didn't work, they quickly switched to gallstones and said I had to have it removed immediately before it damaged my pancreas. They said to avoid fatty foods in the meantime. While I am thinking it over I ran into many MANY people who had problems/pain/cancer in less than 5 years after the operation, so I held off and tried to change my diet - with much success! With I still can't eat non-fatty foods like lettuce, nuts, skin of an apple, etc.....I can easily digest items like cheese pizza, ice cream, and cheese quesedillas. It doesn't make any sense. Personally, I think the food industry putting CALCIUM in our food is causing so many people to have this problem (I'm 30 and male). How does one counteract too much calcium??

Gallbladder Problems or something else? How do I counteract too much calcium in my diet?? Magnesium?
Just go have your gallbladder removed it is the best thing i ever had done and the easiest surgery i had done. i felt sooo much better. you need to stay off caffeine, did they warn you about that? you might also have gone into pancreatitis. go have your blood sugar tested. take care of yourself.
Reply:2 days before the surgery, I called it off. It's a good thing too. I'm completely better now. If anyone reads this, DO NOT HAVE YOUR GALLBLADDER REMOVED UNLESS YOU ARE DYING. Many many people did and now have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). There is no cure for IBS. Report It

Why do women want boob jobs?? lip jobs and other crap??

honestly.. this is an industry unique to women and homsexual men and dare i say the odd and rare metrosexual male..

who thinks it is a good idea.. stuffing your flesh and stiching up your skin to undergo some plastic remodelling of your nose or breasts.. or having eyebrows lasered on for life.. that kind fo thing.. do wqe need it?? is it a waste of resources?? and should I pay my health premiums so women can go out and get expensive boobjobs??? my ex wanted one and for 5 years i said no.. she left me saying i controlled her and i now expect her to get that boobjob.. somehow.. i hope the things burst in the sun one day.. nasty aint i..

Why do women want boob jobs?? lip jobs and other crap??
Most of the women who want breast implants, collagen lip injections, etc. have been brainwashed by the media as to what the "ideal woman" looks like. Women ARE judged by their looks far more than men are. I agree with you though, it's not natural and beauty is so much more than a pair of boobs!
Reply:I agree, plastic surgery is not a healthy choice in most cases.

Your insurance is NOT affected however, as this is elective, and usually not covered by insurance.

There is a place for plastic surgery, horrible disfigurement to accident or fire perhaps.

Like any surgery it is dangerous and it seems to me most frivolous.

I shouldn't judge though. I had a great rack so I don't really know how it feels to be a less desired state. Actually, the reverse is true, I didn't like all the attention to my body.

I agree with the first responder, women are judged on their looks, not fair to anyone involved.

Peace.

EDIT: There are 2 pics on my 360.
Reply:First of all, 1 in 5 cosmetic surgery patients are now male and no they are not all homosexual. My brother has had a rhinoplasty and I know plenty of other males who are quite straight who have had various procedures.

Secondly, what a woman or man chooses to do with their face or body is their business and no-one elses. I'm not sure what you mean about paying health premiums so women can have surgery, because cosmetic surgery is not usually covered by health insurance unless it is partly a functional problem such as breathing difficulties with the nose.

Thirdly, I met my husband before I had any work done, so there is no deception on my part. My husband supports me and just wants me to be happy. If I choose to spend my money on cosmetic surgery instead of buying a new car or expensive holiday, I don't see why anyone should have an issue with that.

As the first poster said, there is great deal of social pressure for women to look good. The same can be said for men, but not to the same degree. This pressure leads women (and men) to seek out ways to improve their appearance.
Reply:I would agree with the first answer. The media has totally brainwashed people. Overly shallow people are also the culprit. It is because of people who judge others on their looks and not their personality. Everyone thinks they need to be that perfect size 0 and have huge dd boobs because that is how the media portrays a perfect woman. Well beauty is only skin deep and the people who are overly obsessed with their looks are usually not very personable people anyway. Who would want to spend their life with a woman who had the perfect body, perfect face and no personality what so ever. Someday that woman will be just as equally looking as the woman who didnt go through all of that **** to look the way they did. I dont understand why woman can't be normal looking and work with what god gave them. (unless its a medical reason of course)
Reply:i seriously dunno if ya find out can you tell me???

i think ppl like that are really dumb

Why can't Filipinos be Filipinos?

We always seem to prefer something that's not us. Whiter skin, different colored eyes, foreign movies. We always prefer stuff that are foreign and consider what we have here cheap and as said in street terms, "Baduy". A lot of Filipinos are more American than Americans. Just look at our showbiz industry, almost every actor and actress look foreign, those who look like pure Filipinos end up being comedians. How come we are so racist against our own kind? If you don't believe what I'm saying then ask yourself what is a "beautiful person" for you? Describe the ideal girl/ guy in your mind and tell me how Filipina/Filipino their features are.

Why can't Filipinos be Filipinos?
My boyfriend is 100% Filipino and he is the most beautiful man in the world to me. His features are almost Mexican/Spanish looking, a sharper nose but with full lips and large dark Asian eyes. Straight shiny black hair, with a goatee and moustache, and flaring, nicely shaped eyebrows. He is light in weight but very muscular and broad shouldered and narrow hipped, not overly tall but not short. His skintone is a medium/light golden brown. He is ideal to me in looks, because I love him. I wish he loved himself as much, because I feel that he is much like you describe, I wish he would be as proud of being Filipino as he should be. You should always be proud of who you are and who you come from, everyone's culture has special and good and unique things to celebrate. About the only thing he seems to enjoy about being Filipino is the foods he grew up with. Other than that, he seems to distance himself from other Filipinos. He even resents it that his sister wants him to spend time with her kids so that he can represent more of their Filipino heritage...she is married to a white man and lives in a white area. He seems insulted by being identified by his sister as a source of Filipino-ness...I wish he was prouder of his heritage and not so ambivalent. I think he and the Filipino culture he comes from is wonderful. Not perfect, but neither is any culture.
Reply:because the philippines is uniqe! they learned all these influences in the past by americans and spanish,so u cant stop what history did filipnios will always be like u said..in a way its good its special in our part of the world our culture is very comonly hispanic and americanized lifes Report It

Reply:They dont have pride in there own culture because they have no culture. If only Hitler was still alive.
Reply:Just because we are of different race doesnt mean that we should only commune amongst only our race. Fillipinos who live in America are constantly in contact with other races. And like the saying goes, "opposites attract", even though they arent really opposite, but i think you catch my drift. I am, btw fillipino, and i think that any girl who is humble, funny, and doesnt listent he mainstream music but music that she likes is the perfect girl in my mind. I know, it sounds like im giving a corny speech, but its true.

Could you help me with my question?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...
Reply:Several of my nieces and nephews are Filipino and I grew up around them as my brother-in-law was Filipino . I loved the golden brown skin tone they have even my native American coloring is not the same. they are very beautiful people, ad I think movie , showbiz, etc are very narrow minded because all races have beauty in them and you are right about some being more American than some people, my brother-in-law fought in the 2nd world war for his citizenship.
Reply:im sure most would like to be something else.. but ah well...
Reply:the way i see it.. people's perception of beauty is quite universal...

besides, our appreciation for beauty...our taste...cannot be influenced by anything...cannot be controlled , cannot be forced fed....and that's the mistery of beauty.

you can't teach yourself to appreciate something you really don't. that goes for everybody not just Filipinos. that's just me.
Reply:I am very proud of being Filipino, I am just not proud of the negative stereotypes, especially ones I definitely do not fit in.

Reply:to answer your question - a lot of different races has the same issue of trying to look young.

and you've answered your own question as to why - MEDIA. one would not believe how much influence media has on us nowadays.

finally, lest one forget, being young at heart does in fact translate to looking younger. remember that if you stress out about looking young, you'll age faster.
Reply:Um....maybe because we go down hill faster as you mentioned. Duh!
Reply:For our skin it's easier to see imperfections because we don't have black/brown to distract. You should see my mom without her make up.
Reply:Pursuit of eternal youth has always been with us and as I recall, a Spanish guy named Ponce De Leon looked for the fountain of youth for Queen Isabella in the new world. But an obsession with chasing ways to stay young looking has increased in many cultures (you note I do not say it is race based, because I do not believe it is).

The main reason is that Baby Boomers are getting older and they already realised that they look and act younger than their parents. So the cosmetics and fashion industry jumped on that.

So did plastic surgeons. However, no matter how much money you have, having the outside look young, because that is really what you're talking about, it's all in the genes.

Baby boomers are now bombarded with products and advertising that tells them they can stop or reverse the skin aging process and stay young looking like their daughters.

Some darker skin types cannot use plastic surgery because of the affect of surgical scarring on their skin.

It's also in the diet and how well you treat your body and allow your skin to renew itself.

There is no standard as you call it of beauty, youth, etc. I know women of all races who age beautifully. And it depends on where you are looking for the image you desire. Ever look at Ebony instead of Elle? The one race theory is so limited and excludes beauty everywhere.

Among the most beautiful women in the world, I think those from the Middle East look spectacular when young and then many age quickly because of the climate and other factors as well as genes. As older women they are still very beautiful inside and it shows in their eyes, so who cares about the wrinkles.

Face it. No woman in this day and age from Generation X on wants to look older. Our mothers and grandmothers knew what true beauty is and did not have this insatiable appetite to find products.

But advertiser sell products and they sell them to the willing. If you look really close you'll see they're selling them to everyone, and not just to a white image. And if the standard of age and beauty is so important, why not address instead the damage that the fashion industry has done to young women who develop anorexia to try to achieve a size one they would never have had genetically to begin with.

And if you want to find people who "bloom" earlier and don't "fade fast " you need only look to the Ethiopians who historically have been among the most beautiful people in the world. And what about the Swedes?

Alas! Your question is about race and not beauty.
Reply:Whenever I see an old lady trying to look young still I just laugh. Give it up.
Reply:There are cultural differences but it probably has little to do with race. Although, some very light skinned people are more susceptible to damage from the sun. You are just making generalizations and every individual is unique. The truth is most women of all races are most attractive when they are young. The skin gets more loose and wrinkled as they age, and they lose muscle mass, and gravity keeps working on them. This is natural and it is the same for all women.

Am I still a vegetarian...(I didn't know!!)?

Earlier today, I asked a question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

So, pretty much, I ate a pop-tart without realising it contained gelatin. And I know gelatin is made of animal bones, tendons, skin, ect. I have been a vegetarian for two months now, and I love it; I feel healthier and an all around better person.

Someone answered my question saying that Pop Tarts are not 'vegan', but are they vegetarian? I mean, is the tissue used to make Pop Tarts just a byproduct of the meat industry that would just do to waste, anyway? Like leather? And I figured since vegans don't wear leather but some vegetarians do...

What I really want to know is am I still a vegetarian. No stupid answers, please.

Am I still a vegetarian...(I didn't know!!)?
Lacto-ovo Vegetarians don't eat meat. But many of them still eat products containing geletain. Some do, some don't....they're all still considered vegetarian if they don't eat actual meat.

Course, what most vegetaians and vegans don't realize is that sugar is not a vegan product either. Sugar is processed through a bone char. The bone char decolorizes the sugar.

I could list a hiundred common items that are often not vegetaian/vegan, even though most people assume they are:

chewing gum

wine

pre-packaged guacamole

bread (sometimes contains cysteine)

Items containing Mono- and diglycerides (as they are often animal derived - this includes bakery items, ice cream, beverages, whipped toppings, etc)

Royal Jelly

the list goes on and on. If you worried about everything you put in your mouth, and analized everything, you probably wouldn't even drink water and you'd starve to death.

Stop worrying about what OTHER people think is vegetarian, and focus on the foods that you do or don't feel comfortable eating yourself.
Reply:Yes. It's not like being a vegetarian is a religion that you get kicked out of if you end up eating some gelatin. Continue with your lifestyle in peace.

I will say though, that if you're trying to eat healthy, it's a good idea to lose things like poptarts. ;)

Good luck!

[edit]

Yeah, what beebs said. (Hint: give her the best answer. She rawks. =D)
Reply:I always understood Vegetarians to be those who dont eat meat. I know people who eat eggs and cheese who consider themselves vegetarians.

Vegans eat no animal meat or by-products. I have a few friends who are strict vegans and it can be pretty hard.

There are even certain types of beer they can't drink.
Reply:Yes, just a misinformed vegetarian. Don't worry about it. Now you know, and can avoid gelatin (in marshmallows too) You are making a concious effort to avoid animal products, and you are to be commended for that. Just continue to learn. Read labels-if you dont know what an ingredient is, just google it to see what it is derived from. I am glad you are feeling better about your choices. Way to go!
Reply:You are still a vegetarian. You're going to find that you constantly run into things that contain animal products that you didn't know about. I recently had the same thing happen... I was eating my Tillamook yogurt and saw the word "kosher gelatin". I looked it up and found that kosher does not necessariy mean non-animal, so I emailed the company. They confirmed they use animal gelatin. I was SO bummed... and grossed out... but yeah. I just check my yogurt now!

Unfrosted poptarts are vegetarian. Frosted ones are not. Just don't eat the frosted ones anymore and you'll be fine.

That said... look out for other gelatin products. Many "frosted" cereals (including frosted mini wheats) have gelatin, as do many candies like starburst %26amp; skittles %26amp; gummy bears. Marshmallows (and anything containing marshmallows, like rocky road ice cream) also contain gelatin as do the majority of yogurts as well as some frozen yogurts.
Reply:haha..This reminds me of myself when I became i vegetarian...I as doing so well and ate a pop-tart.....and a friend of mine said "ya know theres gelatin in them things"....I felt as if I ruined my months of animal friendly hard work....I dont eat them anymore....not because I feel its truly an animal product because its really not...but because there not very good for you anyways...but hey if you like pop-tarts hun more power to ya!....

P.S. Your still a vegetarian :)
Reply:We all make these mistakes time to time. You learn to read the labels more carefully. I myself had some margarine and realized there was gelatin in it. Believe me you are still a vegetarian. You learn from your mistakes.
Reply:Oy, this is not an exclusive club.

If you believe that it is cruel to bring animals into the world only to slaughter them for profit, then you are a vegetarian.

If you try hard not to contribute to the demand that is supplied by cruelty, you're doing a great thing.

It sounds like you are new to this and don't really get it. It is a personal decision and no two people are exaclty the same.

Make your own rules that feel right to you and do your best.
Reply:Yes, you are still a vegetarian. If you want to be vegan (completely animal product fee) you would not eat things with animal byproducts. And, there are so many products out there with animal fats or whatnot hidden in the ingredients I'm sure a lot of vegans have had slip-ups unknowingly. It does not mean that you are no longer vegetarian/vegan.
Reply:No...frosted pop tarts have gelatin in them and are not vegetarian. Being vegetarian means not consuming meat or by products. If you ate it my accident, then yes, you are still a vegetarian but willingly eating them..that's a different story.
Reply:Yes. You are still vegetarian. Everybody slips up. Everybody.

I have issues with people who pull the drama queen routine when they find out they've just eaten something with animal in it. Man does that get old.

We live in a world that is basically unfriendly to vegetarians. How can it be easy to be veg when they're splicing animal genes into our fruit? Beebs brought that up earlier today.

I find it does help to grieve. Feel bad for the fall. Even an accidental one. Then move on. But don't forget. Be careful for next time.
Reply:If a man goes in the ladies room by mistake he's still man. It's called a mistake. If he continues going into the ladies room.....well ......

So are you going to continue eating pop tarts?

It really comes down to your reasons for being a vegetarian.

If it's for health reasons, then sure you are. You can eat gelatin and wear leather.

If you're a vegetarian for moral reasons against killing animals, then you're a hypocrite if you eat pop tarts and wear leather.
Reply:the non frosted poptarts are vegan!

http://www.almostvegan.com/archives/2005...

but frosted ones contain gelatin i think.

or you can try making your own

http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/2007/0...
Reply:Vegetarians don't eat meat.

Vegans don't eat animal byproducts.

Yes, you're still a vegetarian. Vegetarians can eat gelatin, I think, because animal bones aren't meat. You can eat everything that is not meat.

I've been a vegatarian for 4 months now and I'm still going strong. I prefer NOT to eat gelatin though, but that is only MY choice. You can do whatever you want. I think you can stick it through a long way, good luck!

(edit) I agree with most people here. It's common to slip up, don't let go of this because you THINK you made one mistake. If a Muslim eats pork by accident, they don't have to give up the religion, just never do it again. Some vegetarians prefer to eat chicken, which is white meat. I tend to not stick to categories, such as lacto-vegetarian or whatever else there is, I just do my own personal thing, and what I believe is right.
Reply:I believe you are still vegetarian,

a lot of different kind of vegetarian in the world. As long as you don't eat meat, you are STILL VEGETARIAN.

In china, we have vegetarian with eating eggs, but not meat, onion, garlic. They consider those food can't eat at all.

My husband is Indian vegetarian, we don't eat anything with animal products. Like the Pop-Tart you were talking about, and eggs, some cake contains eggs, we can't eat at all.

So, I believe that is all depend how you think and feel.

But I can tell you, you are still vegetarian.
Reply:If that kind of accident caused your 'veggie clock' to restart that would mean I've only been veggie about 7 years instead of half a century since I was hospitalized back then for taking a bite of a bean burrito that had some beef fat mixed in.

Not as dramatic as my last 'goof' since you didn't get sick, but as long as you consider 'plop-tarts' off limits it's not a problem.

BTW; if you really like those things (I don't) please note that the unfrosted ones don't normally have hoof in them and Amy's offers some that *really are* safe for veggies!
Reply:No, gelatin is not vegetarian. But everybody makes a mistake sometimes. They put animal products in so many weird things now days that its impossible to know them all. You are still a vegetarian, but now you know to always read the labels.
Reply:Gosh, you need to eat meat to stay healthy, meat contains protein and you dont have enough of it! You're not that healthy and you're probably soo skinny and God made animals for humans to kill and eat. Read the bible! God made animals for a purpose so that we can eat them to suriv! And gelitan is made up of animal bones!!!!???
Reply:no it's not, don't eat it, unless you have to
Reply:it doesnt really matter. when you are a vegetarian, you can control what you eat and there are no rules. but usually only vegans would not eat geletin or eggs and stuff.
Reply:Hey, chips, be kind to yourself. Even those who are vegetarian for religious reasons have something they do to atone for having eaten something not vegetarian accidentally!

There are some gelatins that are vegetarian/vegan, and these are made from agar-agar, extracted from seaweed. So there is a possibility that your Pop Tart may be vegetarian/vegan!

Take heart from what Howard Lyman, the vegetarian activist, said: "I will not INTENTIONALLY eat anything that has any meat or animal products in it."

But in your case, you just didn't know. Just be careful next time to read the label of processed food.

Good luck!
Reply:you are still a vegatarian, you just didn't know,as long as you don't eat gelatin again you're fine.
Reply:Yes: You're still a vegetarian they could have used veggie oil or corn, follow your heart be what you want to be and be happy with what you do, just be true to your self.

Rastafarian Jah
Reply:they are vegetarian!! Vegan is a special kind of vegetarian which does not eat anything with any type of animal product!! So even though it is not vegan you are still a veg!!

IT Job Market in the Inland Empire (Southern California) Saturated or is there a Missing Link?

I have conducted a futile intensive 3 month Job Hunt in the IT industry in Southern California to no avail. Granted there is always the whole "3 month average" etc but my horizon was too vast not to make a breakthrough.

About 5 years experience: Multiple Certifications: Multiple Projects: Manifold Awards.

There is the whole "TECHNICAL RECRUITER" anathema which gets beneath my skin. These guys generally form a shield between job seekers and employers effectively sabotaging the process. They Juggle around "acronyms" and "technologies" without having a clue as to what efforts are involved in getting them, or their relevance for that matter; and are fueled by insatiable hunger for "commissions".

Given my current inability to relocate, what would be the most effective method to make a breakthrough. I have pursued jobs ranging from the jobs requiring the bare minimal, to jobs that are actually consistent with my credentials to no avail.

Can someone shed some light on this issue?

Question for menopausal women on Premarin?

do you know where it comes from and would you be willing to change to something less cruel??

it comes from pregnant mare urine.. the foals are often slaughtered because they are considered a by-product.. and the mares are kept stable 22 - 23 hours a day strapped to a urine collection bag which chafes their skin... bored and neglected - kept pregant for 11 months only to have their foal taken so they can be bred again

there are alternatives including estrogen from yams or synthasised.. however the PMU (pregnant mare urine) industry keeps pushing doctors to prescribe this drug that relies on a very cruel hideous industy..

thanks for having an open mind about this.. I hope some women will consider changing meds or spreading the word...

- yes this is a question because I also wonder how many doctors fully inform people where their drugs come from

Question for menopausal women on Premarin?
I was offered this drug but brought it home and trashed it. I have never taken hormones and so thankful. I had a breast lump a few years later that prempro could have caused it to be cancer. I dont reccomend its use at all.
Reply:its awful
Reply:i know about premarin and it is cruel how they do it you would think with all the technological advances we have we could have some other medicines and not have to use horses and their poor foals for medicine

Do you trust and/or believe everything u see and hear from the news/media?

Some people are too gullible and arrogant. Here are a few facts based on what i know at the moment There is a natural cures for EVERY single disease out there, but natural herbs or remedies cannot be patened therefore no money can be made off them so they are debunked and suppressed by the pharmaceutical industry controlled news/ media. If a disease was to be cured they could no loner make any more money by selling all these ineffective medicines that simply supress the symptoms with side effects that worsen the condition of ones health. The sun doesn't cause skin cancer- SPF sunblock lotions have cancer causing agents, Vitamin E from the sun actually helps prevent it. We are not running out of oil, thats just a gimmick to raise prices on any products that utilize the use of it, it was used in the early 1980's just to raise gas prices. FDA? wonder why foods and drugs are under one single branch when theyre obviously 2 very different things. What are you eating? Make sense? thatsnot all

Do you trust and/or believe everything u see and hear from the news/media?
It’s all a conspiracy.
Reply:I certainly would not
Reply:nope alot of it is gossip
Reply:Not much at all from the secular media
Reply:The media is biased. People should make up their own minds about something instead of believing everyone else.
Reply:The media are more into entertainment than informative value these days. Just as one might say, "Buyer beware," when dealing with businesses, so should the public understand that it's also "listener/viewer/reader beware" in reference to the media.
Reply:Hell no! And I've been well aware of the propaganda that stems from our so-called media for several years, and I'm glad to see more and more people realizing the facts. Thanks for asking a most informative question, keep em coming, there's a lot of people that need to see both sides of the spectrum.
Reply:I dont believe all what I hear and see from the media.
Reply:Never..................
Reply:I agree with you about natural cures. Since there is a hole in the ozone layer, the sun IS dangerous, and one should limit one's exposure to the sun without protection. One could not stay in the sun long enough to get a healthy dose of Vitamin E. We have Vitamin Supplements. I believe we should switch to an alternative fuel. SOON! The growth hormones they are putting into our food is very scary. I am opting for more fresh fruit and vegetables. They are putting growth hormones into Beef and Chicken and Pork, and then stuffing "get skinny" gimmicks down our throats!!! I do not trust the news media at all!!! Coffee is good one day and bad the next. I believe half of what I read %26amp; see on TV. Out of some people's mouths, I believe NOTHING!!! I want the drug industries out of the pockets of poiticians. It is ridiculous for drug companies to advertise on TV and radio and then we are supposed to go to our Doctor and TELL HIM WHAT WE NEED. My Mom was a Registered Nurse, and when I got sick, I went to the Doctor she worked for or he came to our house, he would diagnose my symptoms, and then prescribe treatment that HEALED ME. The media is acting in wreckless disregard of the health of human beings.

Has Al Gore really made a difference educating people on the dangers of global warming?

I guess if he wouldn't have invented the Internet our planet would be a lot cleaner for he has promoted the use of the CHEMPUTER

Chemputer

About 700 different materials and chemicals went into manufacturing my computer; half of these were hazardous. Computer plant workers exposed to toxic chemicals have suffered lung diseases, skin rashes, and even increased rates of miscarriage. Electronics manufacturers have bestowed California's Silicon Valley (Santa Clara County) with large areas of contaminated groundwater and the highest concentration of Superfund hazardous waste sites in the United States.

Chemical use and pollution remain heavy in the industry, but computer manufacturers, at least in the United States, have made progress in reducing their toxic releases. According to EPA's Toxic Release Inventory, computer manufacturers generated 10 million pounds of toxic waste in 1990, two-thirds less than they did in 1987.

Has Al Gore really made a difference educating people on the dangers of global warming?
I thought the Gore family got their money from Strip-mining in TN. Then they sold the mined minerals to Arm %26amp; Hammer. Arm %26amp; Hammer, sounds communist to me.
Reply:No..it's a bunch of crap.

Why do most Guys think that just cause a girl has huge breasts and small hips she is quote on quote "HOT"?

From What I have seen of the people in the Entertaimment Industry (Hollywood, Pop Music, Etc...) the people that they think are hot are actually quite ugly in the face. most of those peoples facial features don't compliment them and sometimes there hair doesn't match there skin tone. also a lot of people in hollywood plaster their face with make-up. and some of the people that are so Popular for looking "Hot" have the worst personalities I have ever seen. Why do people think They are so Good Looking?

Why do most Guys think that just cause a girl has huge breasts and small hips she is quote on quote "HOT"?
people are attracted to different things, I tot it was big hips?? CHILD BEARING PEOPLE, scientists have pr oven that most men are attracted to women with hips for this reason

and they've also proved that people are attracted to those that look more like THEMSELVES creepy, hehehe, but they mean facial wise, not body wise
Reply:Actually, huge breasts and shapely hips are quote-unquote HOT. So take THAT, Mr. George Peppard!
Reply:It all started with "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
Reply:i suppose its a guy thing
Reply:I don't think to many people still glorify the "celeb" looks. I think people these days are a little more realistic and know that "real people don't look like that. Even Tyra Banks isn't all that beautiful once the makeup comes off. I also believe we all have our fantasies and just like looking at some of those "Hot" celebs. like I have a huge crush on Jake Gyllenhal (jar head) but I believe men with that kind of body (six pack hard legs and arms etc) probably spend too much time in the gym and obsessing over his own body. I mean don't get me wrong if I met a guy who had that kind of body without the neglect of me and too much time in the gym, then hell yeah I would date him.
Reply:Hmmm, I have to agree with that.

I guess it's just something very male (not all males, but those who choose to think with the appendix between their legs)
Reply:I agree this is not HOT to me. My wife all 130 lbs of her is hot to me. Hand sized breast. Tight little butt. No other is as hot as her..too me.

What does it take for me to be..........?

a model?

and do you think i have potential from what you can learn of the info below...? please read

im 13, but i want to start. i really love teh fashion industry and i have doe modelling jobs before, but only a few times, ive really loved it so far. ive heard i need to make a portfolio, and and agent to book jobs. if you have any experience or know anything about it it would be very helpful.... around LA, California please, not too far away.

people tell me im pretty, but not in the usual way. theytell me im unique, and i think this would also help me in this business, becasue i hear that you have to be pretty, but not average.

i dont know that much about modelling though, any type of thing you know can help me please.

thnks.. and sorry for typos lol

What does it take for me to be..........?
You have to understand that modelling is not only about being uniquely pretty or having people tell you you're pretty. You have to be able to walk correctly on the runway. You have to be photogenic. You have to be able to do different poses that flatter your body. You have to be able to take directions from anyone and change the way you look, like if someone tells you that you have to cut your hair short and dye your hair dark red you HAVE to, or else you won't get the job.

And most modelling agencies require for girls to be at least 5'8". But you're thirteen so you still have time to grow and you will probably grow another inch or two.

Here are some really good modelling agencies they have in California:

http://www.fordmodels.com/main.cfm

http://www.elitemodel.com

http://www.wilhelminaportfolios.com/abou...

http://www.affinitytalent.com/index2.htm...

You can find the address to send some pictures to. Most of them don't allow you to just come in and show your portfolio. I know that for Ford and Elite Models you can send in some pictures online and fill out an application. They give you directions on what kind of pictures they need on both web sites. And they don't have to be professional! They prefer them to be taken with a regular camera and with you not wearing any make up. So be very natural.

Also, Ford Models has the "Supermodel of the World" competition once a year I think. Check it out: http://www.myspace.com/fordsupermodel

Hope I could help! Just understand that the modelling world is very tough. Be prepared for a lot of criticism and rejection. It's not all that glamorous as most think!
Reply:u could've shorten ur question by posting a pic and let us be the judges of that what do u say ?

Acne & Scar Problem.. Need help!?

Okay, this is really urgent. Im an r%26amp;b singer and just got a call from a popular independent record label interested in me. Thats great and everything, but there is a problem. I have many acne marks or scars where I have had previous acne. I also have some acne still. Im only 15 so this is a big thing for me, Im very excited about this but I know image is also everything. My face is horrible and there is no way I can go into that meeting like this. When your trying to make it in the music industry, music is the main thing but apperance is also a big thing.

The meeting is set for December 20. I can't see a dermatologist until January because thats when my mom gets insurance or whatever so it will be a little cheaper.

I have used AcneFree's Severe Acne Treatment, but that only irritated my skin. I cant get Proactive. Im thinking of using AcneFree's "Scar Face %26amp; Erase System" because my cousin used that an had some good results. So I cant order anything on t.v., I need things I can buy in a store.

Anything that you know will help my acne %26amp; scar problem, please let me know. I need something that will probably show results before December 20.

Acne %26amp; Scar Problem.. Need help!?
I have researched a lot on this subject. The best I have come up with is a home remedy from Care2.com. I will send you a link there are a couple great recipes that I have tried that work really well.

good luck and please give these home remedies a try.

peace

Reply:I have used proactiv...its ok! BUT, i seen a study on tv the other day about Clean and Clear 3 step system had better results than proactive...major results in the first day! Besides, they have makeup artists for the scars.Hope this helps.
Reply:use acne free original it's identical to proactive but cheaper. most of all change your diet, eat healthier, don't eat food that will clog your pores. also this sound weird but my holistic doctor told me to do this. take more fiber, the stuff that clogs your pores is just waste and poison build up in your body, it finds a way to get out one way or another.

Hope this helps

How do crime scene investigators know that they've gathered all of the evidence, such as tiny amounts of blood?

how do they scan the scene for evidence which are very tiny and sometimes can't be seen with the naked eye without a microscope? a black light can see visible amounts of saliva, etc but won't it overlook a droplet of blood on a carpet or wooden floor or on a object? do skin cells contain DNA? do they use a lint roller or mini portable vacuum device to pick up evidence on the carpet or what devices to gather them without destroying the original form? I'd like to hear from people who are familiar with this or experienced it first hand or know people, who are in the industry to give information in your own words.thanks.

How do crime scene investigators know that they've gathered all of the evidence, such as tiny amounts of blood?
the scene is done in a number of patterned sweeps.

from left to right top to bottom.

then reverse it and go back over the scene from bottom to top right to left.

a circle pattern is done by some.

a x pattern by others.

a grid pattern by another.

sometimes to just see it from a different view.

there are powders, sprays etc that will enhance an ultraviolet lighting.

without destroying the original form. cannot be done. one you remove an object it is no longer a part of that object. this is why a patterned search is done and evidence gathered and logged.

a crime scene sketch is a picture of the scene drawn to scale. pictures enhance the scene as here we found a ---,mark it as exhibit ???, log it on the log sheet exhibit ???, sketch it in the diagram, photograph it, log photo number off camera as photo number-- relates to exhibit number--"as a---"

I have had on a homicide case as many as 125 photos and pinpoints where I felt as the investigator evidence was found and might be use later as the case developed.

never sweep anything it destroys the area you were working in. exactly where did this come from? diagram, photo, exhibit, measurement from 4 corners to the exact 1/16 of an inch.

you can never gather enough evidence. and you always feel you might have missed something.
Reply:They have a chemical that under UV light makes sperm and blood glow in the dark. Plus a boat load of trainnig.
Reply:There are special lamps that show the blood like a florescence glow which stands out brightly. Dogs also can be used. Bloodhounds are the most known for their great sence of smell. Also some sprays have been developed to make a great display when in contact with blood.

Reply:They are almost certain of this because blood has DNA in it, and you can find a person by just knowing their DNA.
Reply:You can have, and they do have, all kinds of special equipment but it all comes down to training and more importantly experience.

There is equipment like coherent light systems, UV light systems. There are sprays but despite what you see on TV Luminol only works to show were blood is for a small amount of time and you need good light control to view it, it also destroys much of the evidence that can be gleaned from the actual blood.

Mini and full sized vacuums are used. Again, the chain of evidence must be established and maintained so the machine is perfectly clean and the filter is special.

It is an on going process as to what can be used. Lint rollers have been used and so has adding machine tape (to get latent fingerprints from human skin).
Reply:They don't need it all, only enough to contribute to a ase that would be found to be "beyond reasonable doubt".

And of course the defense has the right and even duty to suggest that the case has not been made.

How do I react when someone throws the race card at me?

Working in the hotel industry, we get many people who try to throw race cards at the staff.

Many times, we have people who claim to be Christian and actually steal from the hotel and lie to the staff. So hypocritical.

Other times, we get people who say - you wont give me an upgrade from a standard room with no view to an ocean front suite because i am so-and-so (a different skin color from you). People like this need to understand that it has nothing to do with race - it's all about being fair to those who actually PAID for these rooms. I guess my question really is, why is it necessary to pull the race card and how can I react without getting mad?

Racism still exist because people let it exist and use it to their advantage.

Martin Luther King Jr wanted equality in ALL races not just blacks and whites.

How do I react when someone throws the race card at me?
These people usually know that it has nothing to do with their race but that if they inject race into the argument, people will usually cow tow to them- they know how to play the system.

MLK wanted a color blind society, I think he would be disappointed in Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and all the others that continue to divide us upon race lines
Reply:There is no such thing as the RACE CARD.

They might as well change the name of that excuse to "how to justify racism while looking like a douchebag".
Reply:as long as people let it exist? nah that aint true at all racism will exist as long as bad parenting exists people need to teach there kids about stuff like that from the door so they dont grow up to be stupid
Reply:Amen to that.

You're a Great American and it was my privilege to answer your question
Reply:just shuffle the deck for them and let them be with their ignorance
Reply:as long as people like Dani(the queen in the race card deck) is still around you will have to deal with situations like that.
Reply:Why do people use the race card? Because it works. It's a hot button that guarantees attention. Anything that works so well is here to stay until it loses effectiveness.
Reply:Well, whatever you do don't fight because you could get life in prison especially.

Why don't cosmetic companies cater to black people?

Regardless of what company makes the make-up, there's AT LEAST 15 shades of white. There's porcelin ivory, classic ivory, ivory, milk, vanilla, peach, beige, tan, olive, sierra, golden, bronze, toast, sand and the list goes on. But when it comes to dark foundations, it's just Caramel or Cocoa. What's up with this? My skin color isn't cocoa, it's ebony and I have a HARD time finding my shade. Do the companies not realize that blacks come in other shades than caramel and cocoa? THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MAJORITY. Also, even though blacks are 12% of the population, we spend 3X more than white people. The black female consumer has suddenly become the $4 billion beauty industry increased in 22% reaching a total of $732 million PER YEAR.

Why don't cosmetic companies cater to black people?
If your numbers are right, I see a wonderful business opportunity for you. Have you ever thought of starting and building a business like this? Do some marketing studies and you may really be on to something here. Good luck!
Reply:Well, it might have to be where you are at. It might have to do with demographics. I'm sure in prodominately black areas, they have few products for white people, and a much more wider variety for women of color.
Reply:i don't know but good point.

I actually have a hard time finding a good color, believe it or not. A lot of foundation has pink undertones and my undertones are like a yellow gold so it's freakin impossible! Even though it says olive or bronze or whatever it's not, it's kind of pink. I just wear powder.
Reply:There are generally more white people than black people in the Western world. Therefore, it comes down to basic economics: create more products for the larger consumer base, less products for the smaller one.
Reply:Because black is beautiful!
Reply:i have seen many different makeups for black women. but black women have their own shampoo and cosmetic company called fashion fair, it is always in ebony magazine.

anyway, i think you should not wear foundatino regardless of your color. i am sure you are beautiful w/ out it. and that crap messes up your face. look at the celebrities w/ out their makeup, they look like crap. once you start w/ that stuff you have to continue it. but i would suggest you going natural, it is better for your skin.
Reply:I think you are absolutely right! And blacks come in MANY different shades! SOME companies are getting a clue, however. Avon and Mary Kay have several different shades for dark skin tones. Cover Girl has a new line. And there is always Fashion Fair.

I'm white but also have a very difficult time finding the right shade. Ivory shades are much too light and those for olive skin are much too dark...plus I have rosy olive undertones so I can't go golden at all. Believe it or not, finding the right "beige" isn't easy.
Reply:Yes, I agree with you.. I have this problem also, my complexion is between caramel and dash of olive, but not quite. When I use foundation, it's either too light or too dark. It is so frustrating.. I finally found a foundation to match and it was mixed with honey but I can't find it anymore,,,

I quess we was not met to wear makeup, we just have too be natural...
Reply:Yeah, I've noticed that too. 3 shades of brown and 18 shades of beige, lol. But I think it also depends on the company and the area you're in. And I hate when it's too light or too dark, and I end up looking like I have a mask on. But as was said earlier, it's way better to go natural. My skin's super sensitive to the regular old foundation, so I end up having to splurge on make up anyway. Mary Kay has an amazing selection that won't break you out. I hear Bare Minerals is pretty good too.
Reply:Because they simply do not care. It doesn't benefit them any to have colors suitable for the many colors of the black race, so they simply do not do it. I wear M-A-C. They have a good selection. Try them.
Reply:well maybe your skin doesnt need it. no offense but really dark people dont need makeup. you wouldnt be able to see it.

"Man's best friend" killed for?

China's Shocking Dog and Cat Fur Trade

Other viewing options

"Man's best friend" killed for fur? It's not just a bad dream. PETA recently conducted an undercover investigation into the Chinese dog and cat fur trade to show you what the industry is so desperate to hide. Even our veteran investigators were horrified at what they found: Millions of dogs and cats in China are being bludgeoned, hanged, bled to death, and strangled with wire nooses so that their fur can be turned into trim and trinkets. This fur is often deliberately mislabeled as fur from other species and is exported to countries throughout the world to be sold to unsuspecting customers in retail stores. China supplies more than half of the finished fur garments imported for sale in the United States, so the bottom line is that because dog and cat fur is so often mislabeled, if you're buying fur, there's no way to tell whose skin you're wearing.

"Man's best friend" killed for?
It wasn't too long ago small animals, such as cats and small dogs were sacrificed as rituals in Sunday services. Candles were lit, and at least one animal per household was sacrificed. Two were preferred if it was a larger family.

Is this voodoo? They have beliefs about good luck, etc, depending on which side the dead animal lands. It is a belief from the islands which are territories of the United States of America, it is a lot closer than China.

I am scared to say anymore as this was a family tradition centuries ago, and we are beginning a new century.

Aruba is no different, although a lot further south, south of the Equator. They have different practices, which aren't cannibalism, this frightens most, although they definitely use small animals differently than we would allow and consider normal.
Reply:. . . . . Killing cows for?? Killing fish for?? Killing pigs for?? Killing deer for?? get over it.
Reply:I saw the clandestine video on World CNN and was upset for days. The men doing this were really getting off on tormenting the animals before they killed them.
Reply:Yes. They have been doing this for a while. But you know other animals are killed for food and clothing. Just because they are not animals we usually have as pets does not mean they deserve less.
Reply:Wearing dog or cat fur sounds nasty, not something I would personally want to do.

However, if someone wants to wear fur, it is their decision.

I don't trust anything PETA says. They are pretty close to being a terrorist organization, and some of their members are extremists.
Reply:yes is terrible
Reply:is terrible
Reply:I would ignore what PETA says- they have an unfortunate tendency to exaggerate and lie about a lot of things that they think will advance their agenda, which includes no ownership of any animal by any person, ever, and forcing everyone on the planet to become a vegan, which is a lifestyle that is both repulsive and nutritionally disadvantageous to me. Also, don't forget that PETA and groups like it are not afraid to resort to eco-terrorism and terroristic activities if they think it will advance their cause. So the Chinese kill and eat dogs and cats for food or for fur-so what? We do the same thing here with our beef cattle, our pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, deer, and all of our domesticated poultry. The people at PETA need to get a life and realize that some things will NEVER change, and this is one of them. It isn't the US's place to try to legislate or dictate the morality of other countries, or to try to force our opinions or way of life on other nations just because we happen to dislike or disagree with some of the things they do. As a nation, we have been trying to do exactly that in Iraq, and look where it has gotten us- we now have over 3,500 of our own troops dead because of our arrogant attitudes. Just because we don't like this practice that the Chinese have, doesn't mean we have a right to dictate to them about it. PETA's attitudes disgust me- they are a sick organization at times, one the preys on peoples' fears and suspicions and drives people apart.

What is the appropriate hairstyle for male airline cabin crew?

I am considering a new career in the airline industry. I am planning to apply as a flight attendant/ cabin crew in a major international airline. However, i have skin head hairstyle. Are skinheads acceptable hairstyle for male airline cabin crews?

What is the appropriate hairstyle for male airline cabin crew?
I have never seen a "bald" flight attendent who was male on a US originating flight but since every airline has different rules in regards to what they allow you should check directly with the airline you are interested in.
Reply:Yes, cleanly shaven men common in the industry. It really depends on the airline and the nation that the airline is based in. For example, in India, if a flight attendant is male and Sikh (Religious belief) then he is allowed to wear his turban and have an unshaven face. Here in the U.S. the airlines determin what is appropriate. For a very long time, it was inappropriate for men to be unshaven, and only in the early 2000s that many airlines changed the rule. I know that the rule is still alive and well with other carriers out there in the world.

Apart from that, most airlines do not allow long hair on men. The most that I have seen is that I have seen very small mohawks done, but not often at all. Usually the guys are very well groomed. Your short hair may be a blessing to you in that it is easy to maintain, something that is very important to airlines.

Removing Scars?

Hi, I'm 23 year old %26amp; i work in a construction site. 3 months ago when i was carrying these wooden crates, the nails were improperly attach to the planks and as usual i would place the crates harshly on the floor as they were of no importance. The results were unimaginable

Before i knew it, 3 - 4 of the nails which were concealed from my sight grazed through my skin as though it was cheese. The wounded area was in between my wrist to my forehand of my elbow. Blood gushed out profusely as beads of sweat started gathering on my forehead.

Working in this industry, cuts were common but i've never seen so much blood in my life. I quickly wash the blood away with distilled water and quickly applied antiseptic cream over it followed by putting a bandage on the wounded area to stop the blood from flowing. I visited a doctor and he gave me 2 choice, 1 is to stitch the wound and the other to let it heal on its own, i took the 2nd choice

How do i remove the scars? Is there a natural way?

Removing Scars?
You should use cocoa butter as a moisturizer, but it heals and somewhat fades the scars too. [i recommend the one at Walgreens - it's in a yellow tube/jar for 99 cents]. Along with the cocoa butter, theres a product called Scar Zone that works for any kind of scars-i use it for acne but it's made for other scars too. [I got mine at Target for about $9.] Be sure to use the cocoa butter every single day. It should fade within a few months if used properly...
Reply:no, you cant completely remove scars. they will fade with time, but you can try putting cocoa butter lotion on it (after it is completely healed) and drink lots of water
Reply:u can also consult a professional help regarding this..

I want to become a model, but I don't know where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions, connections, ideas?

I'm 5'8, slim, pretty, exoctic features, African- American: light brown skin, brown hair, dark brown eyes, and 18 yrs. old.

If anyone knows of anything to help me, your help would be greatly appreciated. I've been told a lot that I should try modeling, but so far I've been focused on school. Modeling and fashion is my passion but I'm not sure how to get started in the fashion industry... Help please

I want to become a model, but I don't know where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions, connections, ideas?
first, check your priorities, make sure its want you want, you can inquire at local modeling agencies, about the process, or you can try and audition for roles, it's a very competitive market so it'll be a bit hard, and you have to prepare yourself for the things that the job asks for as well as rejection, though your just about to begin or begining, rejections can come as early as now, being pretty will no ensure you a job but its mostly the attitude and the willingness to strive and prove that you are dedicated to the job, personally what i did was inquired at agency's and they asked me for my portofolio, most agencies will give an average contract with a span of 2 to 3 months and if you book their client quota their most likely to extend your contract, but you can also work as a freelance model, but if you do, you'll need an agent, unlike being in an agency where they will be your handlers.

Should i pursue a modleing career?

based on my measurements, should i continue in the modeling industry?

height: 5'6"

weight: 118-125 lbs.

underbust: 30"

bust line: 35"

lips: shaped and full

nose: small

i have had NO plastic surgery, although i am concidering a tummy tusck to get rid of belly stretch marks.

Should i pursue a modleing career?
at 5'6" you are too short.

your measurements are curvy.

you can model bathing suits .

also television work..there is no height requirement for that.

don't know your age..but plastic surgery is not necessary.

you can use derma blend body makeup.
Reply:If you are considering RUN way modeling, no. They generally would want someone taller. But any other modeling would be just fine. It's not about your weight because trust me they have some very beautiful women that are not toothpicks that model. I would not get surgery it its not necessary. There's too many risks and there are other options than just cutting them out.
Reply:send me some pics ;) and i'll let you know.

excelsior54@yahoo.com
Reply:I am sure as long as you have confidence and believe in yourself there's a great chance you'll make it just fine based on your stats. You must remember too people have different tastes, but the one thing I find most appealing personally is PERSONALITY. A great attitude goes a long way. Queen Latifah doesn't have a model's body but she's on Cover Girl and stuff...so like I've said focus on being yourself and let it out! GL!
Reply:It totally depends on your age... also, it's almost impossible to tell without a photograph!

Lots of people are in the same position as you are and hoping to get some feedback. Good luck!
Reply:All that tells us nothing about your modeling potential. Does tha camera love you? Are you built like a stick (I mean clothes hanger?)
Reply:You're too short %26amp; you doesn't sound like you're skinny enough.

Sorry.
Reply:i think you would beok for modelling...i don't understand anyone who said you're not thin enough as you are most certainly extremely fit or at least in the normal range as your BMI shows...perhaps you could be a little taller but i think most agencies would hire you. I don't think they care about feet lol and i would advise you not to have surgery-the outcomes could be devastating, plus its pretty scary, you have to deal with side effects and it could thin your wallet by far. Also, i wouldn't rely on just modelling-your figure won't stay the same forever..you could do part time modelling and take up a course at uni if of course you want to do so.

gd luck and take care

nia
Reply:I guess it would depend on what kind of modeling you wish to pursue. I don't know how you look but height wise I don't think you are tall enough to to be a runway model, but you might be able to be a hand or body part model. Sure Kate Moss is about 5' 6" but she weighs nearly nothing. Unfortunately, I think your measurements (and the stretch marks you mentioned) would limit your marketability for fashion modeling. I think measurements for most top models are supposed to be somewhere around 5' 8" at least, and 32-24-34 or 35?
Reply:well probably not high fashion or run way but maybe some local modeling would work better for you. :-)
Reply:you need to be taller.
