Do i have a chance in modeling?

Well okay. To start off I am 14 years old and I was thinking of persuing modeling. A lot of people have me that I am beautiful and that I should really look into modeling, but I am only 5'4 [but HOPING to put on a few inches, but it's probably not likely]. I know that I could never go into anything series like runway walking or high fashion because I'm not tall enough, but I definitely have the body and the face. People also comment on my hair, and say that I look like a porcelain doll as my skin is flawless and my eyes are very big. Is there any part in the modeling industry that DOESNT need tall models? I'm really mostly into acting, but as people have been telling me that i should possibly look into modeling, should i even bother? Any thoughts would be helpful! Thank you =]

Do i have a chance in modeling?
yes you can i did but i rejected I'm only 5'1 and yeah so yeah totally you can ( I'm not that pretty and i got in )
Reply:you could definitely do like commercial modeling.

they don't require a certain height, its like modeling for catalogs or abercrombie, forever 21, jcpenney stores like that. and it doesnt require a high fashion masculine look.
Reply:Editorial modelling doesn't require as much height as runway modelling. 5'4 is really short. In the modelling world, 5'6 is pushing the minimum. I say if you really want to, pursue it. Start a portfolio. Go to castings to get the experience.
Reply:sounds like you could make it, but i'd help a lot to have a pic :)

by the way, do u go to ocean spings high???? u sound like a girl who does.........
Reply:yes you can if you stick your head in the game i dont need a pic you could be what ever you want to be just wait a little longer and you will see
Reply:You should totally pursue your dream I'm 15 yrs. old and I'm only 5'3 I live in Houston,TX and I took a modeling course at Mayo-Hill Centre for Modeling and they did tell me that I'm not tall enough to do runway but they also said that there's petite fashion shows. If being an actress is what you really want you should go for it!!! The first step you should take is to take acting lessons or modeling lessons and when you're done with that you should look for an agency to represent you. Since I just finished my lessons I'm going to to do a profesional photo shoot and I'm going to get a contract with the Neal Hamil Agency!!! To answer your question yeah there's a lot of things in the modeling industry that you don't have to be tall for. You can do commercials, ads, and commercial print which is being in magazines billboards and stuff like that. You should really try it. If you really rather act then do that it's really fun don't be shy in front of the camera. Even though people tell you to model if you want to act forget them and do what makes you happy. If you want to talk don't hesitate to e-mail me.

Not everyone can be a model. We need a picture to know for sure. Just because you get complimented doesn't mean you're pretty enough to model. Everyone gets compliments like the ones you gave as examples.
