It just seems that none of the girls are all that eyecatching this season. I loved Anchal but she got the boot, I thought AJ had potential then she got the boot. Jaeda almost looks like a guy - I think they should've kept her hair long but then she got the boot.
Melrose looks OLD - she looks 35 to me - I can't see them giving the top model honors to her.
CariDee was my favorite but she has grown so weird and manic and emotional that I'm not sure she could handle the industry.
And Eugenia - I'm sorry, I don't see the potential. The amount of work they need to do just to retouch her face with that bad skin is enough of a sign that she needs to go.
I liked the twins but they both had weaknesses that wouldn't last in the modeling world.
I just don't feel any of them deserve the top title...I hope the next season is better! I've heard they will be getting fuller figured girls to try out.
What does everyone think??
America's Next Top Model - does anyone else think this season is weak?
girl yes, i just dont think the girls were very pretty. you dont look at those girls and think model, theyre only pretty after they apply all that makeup!
But i think theyre going to give the title to caridee, just because she has more drive than eugenia, and melrose, shes going to crack, and youre right, she looks like so old!
Reply:i dont watch it so i dont care that much! tyra banks is getin lame anywayz Report It
Reply:they need larger breasts and better asses
Reply:yes yes yes yes i think the same thing!!!!!!!
Reply:yes i think so
Reply:I never watch it.
Reply:No the season is a few weaks maybe even months.
Reply:YES, the show seems to have lost it's luster!!!
Reply:I agree with you this has definitely been one of its weakest seasons. Right out of the three remaining girls I like caridee the most, but she has gotten quite weird as the season has progressed. I don't think Eugenia is strong enough to win the competition, but she has gotten better over the past few episodes. And melrose is good, but she needs an attitude adjustment.
Reply:Sydney I feel you girl, them b----s are so tired! Who could honestly crown any of them America Next Top Model. They can not hold a candle to any of the former winners, not even Adrian's trashy butt! I don't know what they have in store for next year but I hope it is some chicks worth rooting for! Bring Takara back, shoot if Flav can bring NY back then it think it is time for ANTM to do some recycling too!
Peace
Reply:Yeah, I watch the show every season, lol. I just like watching the competition. You think like me with this show. Except, it's a good opportunity for people, but in negative ways, it promotes that beauty only gets you far and being thin. At least Hollywood does.
And it's messed up that she sent Brooke home on her graduation night. If they knew she wasn't doing so good, they should have sent her home earlier. And Tyra talking about how girls would love to be in Brooke's shoes, but not missing an important time in their life. Graduation from high school is something to celebrate, and I'm sure her family would have loved to see her there graduating. Tyra should defenitly make it up to her, cuz that's so wrong. I bet she didn't miss hers!
Anyway. I loved Anchal, I just wish she had more confidence, And not dwell on what somethinks of her. The judges judge, not the girls.
Besides her, Caridee quickly became my favorite, she's her crazy self, lol. She can easily slack off though, especailly after sh had a good week.
I don't dislike Melrose(there are way more sinister people) but some of her comments when another girl would win a challenge, or comments period should be kept to herself. She makes her rude remarks in a way that makes it seem as if it was just an innocent suggestion, but you can tell she's being rude. And she is a big threat, I believe she does well with the competition.
Neither of the twins weren't too passionate about it as much as the others.
Yeah, I don't think Tyra should have cute Jaeda's hair simply because she didn't want her to feel pretty like she did with hair. Cuz you know how Tyra would said "Oh, you're not miss pretty anymore" Messed up, I bet Tyra wouldn't cut hers. And she said she wanted her to look like Halle Berry, and Jaeda doesn't look like her, or pull that short hair off. All strong faces don't mean cut their hair.
I think Eugena stepped up, but I don't think she'll win, because her lack of personality. You know how they all love those bubbly personalities, but it's not like models talk much working. They do commercials yes, but they don't talk on a photo, or on the run way, lol. They're not actresses or singers.
I hope Caridee wins, she deserves too.
Reply:Another reason I think the season is weak is because the girls don't want it as badly as the other girls in other seasons did. I recently watched reruns of the first season, you know the one Adrienne Curry won, the girls wanted to be ANTM so bad. They ate it, they walke dit they dreamed it. This season I think the girls are going, 'I am tall and skinny. I could be ANTM.' Not I AM ANTM. I didn't even have a favorite all season and in previous seasons I I have had one.
Reply:i agree with you. this season has been a let down. maybe they shouldn't have a new ANTM season every other month and focus on making it better for next season. i am sure they are already taping for next season.
Reply:honestly, im not very impressed with this season at all. i wasnt impressed with any of the models and now that it's down to the final 3, i dont really think that any of them have enough potential to be "Americas Next TOP Model". Of the three of them, i think Caridee probably has the best chance. She looks the most like a model, but other than that, this season has just been a disappointment.
Reply:No. I dont think it's weak and I do hope Eugenia wins! I grew up with her and she's a pretty nice girl who deserves a chance. Everyone isn't perfect and are you serious about the skin thing! Who do you know who is a model who doesnt have bumps or anything on their face. HELLO what do you think cover girl is for? Cover that stuff up. DUH!
Reply:Caridee and AJ were my favorites from the start. Melrose does a good job, but she really does look so much older than she is. She is three years younger than me, and looks about 5 years OLDER. My favorite Top Models so far have been Nicole and Naima. Both were my faves from the beginning, and both won. I'm hoping Caridee can pull this one out, too.
Reply:thank you for agreeing with what i have been saying this entire season. This season sucks!! half the girls on the show are too old to get into the modeling biz. Even the first winner of ANTM Adrienne agrees.
These girls are weak as hell. they complain about the dumbest stuff. No Melrose is not going to win, but she is the girl who everyone hopes she doesn't win so she is staying on for the ratings.
With Jaeda's haircut, youknow tyra was like, "Damn, that was a bad one". She made the girl look boyish and then tried to tell her it was suppose to be like Halle Berry??!!!?? What?? Hallie Berry and Jeada look nothing alike. Their bone structure is so differnt. Jeads look sso hard and Hallie looks soft...
Please get rid of Twiggy. Just because you were a model doesn't mean you really know whatyour talking about. Remeber the stupid comment she made about Jeada's abs.. Hello.... Of course they were fake!!!!!
and yet we watch!!! what is wrong with us??

Weight and attractiveness..?
I guess this is a general question to find our answers.com public opinion. I'm not shy.. I'm 285, and 5'11". Do you girls out there find that seriously unattractive? Can you notice someone and be attracted enough to find out more about them if they're that body type? I carry my weight well, but I have a hard time finding dates and interested women. The health industry would have me believing that I'm undateable, and just plain ugly. Don't think so. I'm happy with myself and comfortable. I DO walk every day (my dog wouldn't have it any other way) and I eat very little. My body just stores more than it burns. So, would you talk to a heavy guy? Are you more into the look or personality? I know this is a toughie to answer, but I'm really curious. I've met some real shallow people.. I guess I'm just hoping to find the truth.. Can heavy guys be truly lovable if the personality is good or do we all have to have washboard abs and smooth hairless skin to have a chance in hell with nice girls?
Weight and attractiveness..?
Personally, and I am thin and not ugly, (pretty cute actually) but I like, no love, a guy with something to hang on to...skinny guys really creep me, so hey babe, for this chick here, keep it on, sounds warm and cuddley to me!!!
Reply:Kool-Aid Man is the mascot for Kool-Aid, a popular drink. The character has appeared in television and print advertising as a fun-loving and avuncular beverage provider, bursting through walls and yelling "Oh yeah!" to share the drink with kids. He is a gigantic anthropomorphic pitcher, filled with Kool-Aid (usually cherry, though other flavors have been used) and marked with a fingerprinted smiley face.
Reply:Everyone will have a different opinion on this. It's just the same as if you were to ask men if heavy women bother them. I personally do not find heavier men unattractive. It is what's inside. I guess this is something you learn the older you get. Never judge a book by it's cover.
Reply:heavier guys are usually extremely lovable people...they are usually funnier and nicer, more polite and actually listen to what you are saying...the guys with "washboard abs and smooth hairless skin" are usually very unstable and unpredictable...they can(and will) dump you the very moment they see a better looking person...well im afraid most of the women dont see that...
Reply:I saw this guy the other day, and he was huge! But he carried himself so well! He seemed the most striking personality ever, and me had this 'I don't give a **** what you think' attitude. Well.. it's been 3 yrs since I met the guy, and we're engaged to be married soon! Ofcourse, he had to lose some weight because of health reasons, but I stuck by him, and always will. I love him for what he is inside!!
So don worry about your size, it's how you carry it about that really matters!
Reply:I do not feel like I am a shallow person. But, being human I do find a person who is overweight unattractive but ONLY if they dress like a slob! A person can be overweight and dress in a way that is flattering. They don't have to look sloppy. On the flip side... I do not care for a man that is a bean pole either! I want a man who can protect me and wrap me in his arms. I'll take a man who is overweight and confident over a skinny scrawny man anyday!
Reply:people who judge you before getting to know you arent worth your time. as long as your comfortable then thats what matters. personally, i do not like guy with "washboard abs and smooth hairless skin" i prefer the natural guys. guys with meat on their bones and hair. haha.
Reply:There is someone out there for everyone. It only takes that special person to find your attractive. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Get out, have fun, meet people.
On the topic of size, my brother is as skinny as a rail and only dates well rounded women. Nothing wrong with that. To each his own.
Reply:I have a very attractive daughter that I would like you to meet. She is funny and loves guys that have a sense of humor. She is a straight A student but loves to go out and have fun. She is 5'7" and weighs around 140 pounds with long blonde hair. She complains all the time that the guys she meets are too shallow and too into themselves. You seem like an excellent canidate to date her.
Reply:This is going to sound very cliché, but personality and sense of humor really DO affect how attractive a person is.
I'm with a guy right now who doesn't actually fit the accepted ideal of attractive, but he's so smart, funny, and easy to talk to that it really doesn't matter.
Oh, and personally, I find "smooth hairless skin" on a grown man to be a bit creepy.
Reply:ignore the media at large... but let me tell you *fat chicks* (men) are sexy. That has always been my motto. I do not mean that in any other way that respectful.
A thin man has never been able to turn my eye... as long as you are healthy, have a great personality, and some great conversation and experiences to share with someone... you should not have any difficulty.
Ignore magazines, bad comedies, TV and want to be socialites... the average American Woman loves her average American Man... especially those great bear hugs.
Reply:Absolutely! I am the type of person that doesn't judge a person by their appearance. Some of the nicest people I know are overweight and that to me just means more of them to love. Physical attraction is very important but the key element in any relationship is personality. My father suffers from the same problem you do and he has a heart of gold. He has tried so many diets without much success. What makes it so hard for him is his job requires him to drive a lot (he is a District Manager of 10 quarries). When he comes home, he is just too tired to exercise. I can understand your frustration through him. There are lots of people out there with the same problem. Sadly, we live in such a mean world where people only want relationships based on money and sex. Both seem to be the root of all evil. I'm sure you are a great person with lots to offer. You just have to keep your confidence level up and remind yourself that you are going to be some lucky woman's treasure someday. Have you considered a dating program? There may be women who have the same problem as you. Consider it because you sound like a very nice person. Indeed I'm married, but I know I and lots of other women are attracted to the "Teddy Bear" type of men. Keep your chin up and have confidence in who you are....that's all that matters!
Reply:it's not about weight, it's about how you carry yourself.
i'm a tiny little thing (pretty too), and i would totally date someone who was bigger, as long as they had a good personality to go with it (but that pretty much goes for any guy i would go out with).
you always see big guys with pretty girls. usually not the other way around though. be thankful you aren't a girl.
Reply:I like men that are like teddybears, that are cute and lovable, and bigger than me :) I'm a nice girl, so I think that yes nice girls could very much like you, HOWEVER if you are searching for a hot model girl then, yes it is possible.... not probable.....but anything is possible.
The thing I have recently relized is that sometimes we don't (at least I wasn't) give others a chance because we make judgements on them based on their apperance and on what the media portrays as beautiful or sexy these days.
But I've pretty much figured out that those things ARE NOT what is important in the long run. I think if you have a good personality and are friendly then you have a HUGE chance of mature women liking you. I'm not sure how old you are, but I am in my early 20's and i have just discovered what I said b4 about looks not being even close to that important in "real" relationships, and I think there are alot of girls that realize this even later than me. Just start dating older women, and surround yourself with nice/good people, that's what is important. Also don't get down on yourself, because your self esteem can show in your face and posture (even with out your recognizing it) and that can be much more of a turn off. Even the hottest guy who walks with his head down can turn into a 6, where as a man that might otherwise be a 6 can turn into a 10 with some confidence. :)
Reply:Well, before even having seen you, you are definitely the kind of guy I would go for (although I'm married lol). Why? Because you have all the inner qualities I value in a person. Just from your post, I can tell you are a deep, geninue, caring, friendly and warm person. To me, that is beautiful and I wouldn't even notice your weight. HTH : )

Milan's Baning of Skinny Models?
I was thinking about Milan’s recent decision to not let models that are too skinny on the stage. I agree with them on that. Why do you want to have some one that looks like nothing but skin and bones modeling your clothes? If you do then the audience is going to focus more on why does this child so desperately needs a hamburger so she can put on some pounds and look normal, more than looking at the clothes that they have on. Which we all know that if the model does not make the clothes look good then there is a big problem. I really think that the hole fashion industry has taken the hole image of being thin toooooo far that this is the result. Who agrees with me?
Milan's Baning of Skinny Models?
thin is not good so you dont want to influence the young girls that want to model for a career.
Reply:man evy one has a dream...it aint gettin short if some one is skinny!!
Reply:Yeah, sometimes I HAVE to agree. But think this way: Why don't they find models that are skinny in nature? I have this girlfriend of mine that's so skinny, and she eats ALOT. And clothes are for everybody, normal, fat, skinny alike. So my law, there MUST be clothes that look GOOD on somebody. Saggy ones fit the skinny, large T-shirts fit the skinny hip-hop guys and girls. But then again, back to the topic, many people may want to go on a diet to look like models, and go too far. I mean like.... Just look, man! People can be so unreasonable sometimes. Sometimes, well... I just think, perhaps skinny models will be invisible, and the clothes they're modelling will show out more....? And Milan should voice out this ban far and wide to make this point clear: Don't get yourself too skinny. Haha.
Reply:I agree with you. These models should be banned. They hardly eat anything in a day with a result they are putting their health at great risk. Maybe now they may not realize bacause they are getting good money. But it is like slow poision, their bodies and health is definitely going to suffer in the long run! Banning them is for their own good.
Reply:Gotta agree with you on this one. I think modeling agencies should start hiring models of all sizes. Take me for instance I am 5'3" 140 pounds bka--I am thick fine. But you don't see many thick models unless they are nude or almost there, never on the runway. I think it's time for the the agencies to wake up and realize people come in different sizes.
Reply:I think I agree with you that it is nice that they considered taking a responsible stance on the matter.
Unfortunately, since you first wrote this question, Milan has changed their minds and decided that they will not ban the underweight waif-life women from walking the runways. Guess they don't care so much after-all.
I do agree with you that the whole modeling industry has taken things out of proportion, but at the same time, I think that those girls that look up to the runway models as role models have problems beyond just how they look. It only takes a modicum of common sense to realize that they are unhealthy.
Reply:I agree with you. To skinny doesn't look good.
Reply:i kinda agree. when girl is too skinny it looks ugly and unhealthy. she just have to be in a good shape and that will look fine
Reply:I agree with you. Milan refuses the ban now by the way or were u thinking of Madrid?. I have never met a person who looked like those models.Do you have friends that look like that? They protray unrealistic standard of beauty and image. Why would you want to dress up walking skeletons on the catwalk. I was just watching a segment about that on tv, I think it was Entertainment Tonight and they interviewed Fredricka (who used to model for Victoria Secret), says models used to weigh 135, which was a good and healthy weight for models. Now the standards have shifted. What does that image send to girls who have low self-esteem and would result in an eating disorder.

What can I do to help make progress to stop all kinds of animal cruelty around the world?
I know that it is impossible to stop all animal cruelty over night. I also know that it is impossible for people to stop eating meat, buying leather/fur over night. But I am a vegetarian and this issue really effects me. I've heard some really horrible horrible stories about the meat industry. I've heard stories of cows being put into boiling water in order to "soften" their skin to make good leather.
I feel really sad for animals that are put through these horrible pain and suffering. I know that it is a long battle uphill for vegetarians and vegans. But my question is, how can I get involved to bring an end to the cruelty that occurs?
What can I do to help make progress to stop all kinds of animal cruelty around the world?
you could start by not being cruel to animals, I guess, but do you work in a zoo? you may have to change jobs if that's the case.
Reply:I've been thinking about this as well. I say we take pictures of a close-up shot of the face of every man that is involved in animal cruelty, post what he did, post pictures of him doing it, then post it so that the world knows.
He ain't gonna get any if that happens!
Reply:you see i love animals and they love me ive had racoons and possoms hang out with me and have lunch no joke but i dont think being vegetarians gonna help animal cruelty just a couple people arent gonna stop meat production by not eating it. But for me i just dont eat lamb and calf its so sad what they do to them animals they chain them up so they cant walk and just make them lay there so thier meat stays tender its so wrong but u can raise aware ness by posting on sites like this
Reply:Take care of all the animals you can. More power to you. Don't try to change my eating habits however. Join Peta I suppose. Or go work for the Humane Society. You probably can't do a whole hell of a lot on your own so join an organization that shares your beliefs. But again, don't try to change me when it comes to what I eat or don't eat.
Reply:You can do what I do when I see something that needs justice. I write letters, to the company, to anyone who will listen. It might seems stupid to write a letter but honestly people read them and they think about what their customers are saying in them. Without feed back companies think that they are doing well and that people are happy with their product. I do this to clothing companies who are degrating women and I know that they are considering what I'm saying because slowly I've seen a change in their ads. It won't hurt you or them to write a letter. Good luck
Reply:If it makes you feel any better, there are some farmers out there who are good to their farm animals. Even though their final destination is the slaughter house, they are treated with respect. On a farm that a family member of mine had, the cows were allowed to roam and drink from a spring fed pond. He was very concerned for their health and safety. On the coldest and nastiest days he would care for them. One winter I went with him to dig the cows out after a bad snow storm. People told him that the cows would be fine without food or fresh water for a couple of days until the weather was better, but he would not hear of it. So we walked though deep snow and dug the cow path to the pond where we made a hole for the cows to drink. I have never heard of a live cow being boiled. At the local slaughter house it is a quick shot right between the eyes. After, they process the cow. In the wild, animals suffer a horrible death when attacked. Some are still alive while the other animals begin to eat them, ripping the flesh right off the bone as the animal screams in pain and horror.
Although it is true for some places in the world to keep animals in terrible conditions, it is not true for others. Where I grew up, the animals' needs are a high priority. It makes sense to keep the animals happy and healthy as they are the lively-hood of the farm.
Reply:I've campaigned at my school. The problem with a lot of people is they think you're judging them when you tell them to stop supporting animal abuse.
I think what I'm going to do this year is figure out a way to help my local vegan community group. If I can make veganism seem fun (like it is) then hopefully non-vegan people will make a lasting decision to help out in some way.
I've also been thinking about selling the stuffed animals I make at a summer market, or online, and donating the proceeds to a vegan charity. Truth be told, I'm a very introverted girl, and it seems like a good way to help out, and still be shy.
You could hold a vegan bake sale, and donate the money to a local farm sanctuary....!?
Reply:You can help to stop animal cruelty even further by going vegan. You said you are vegetarian so I am guessing that you are either lacto-vegetarian (consume dairy products) or lacto-ovo-vegetarian (consume dairy products and eggs).
By consuming dairy products, you are supporting the beef and veal industry. As long as people are consuming dairy products, cows will still be milk machines chained up, with their final destination being the slaughter. Also, the veal industry is being supported by dairy consumers because the cows are producing milk because they are generally being impregnated... Therefore they produce milk... pretty logical. They give birth to a baby cow that goes on the market as veal (usually killed around 6 mo. or less) or baby cow (killed under 2 mo.)
If you buy eggs you are supporting chicken slaughter in the same way that you would be supporting cow slaughter from buying milk products. The only way you would not be supporting chicken slaughter by consuming eggs is if you had your own 'pet' chicken who you cared for and would never kill, and ate their eggs (although that is kind of weird) or ate someone else's chicken's eggs from a friend who you know for sure took care of their chicken and did not intend on killing them.
Dairies have cows that are 'meant' for the slaughter. Their whole life they are just made as milk machines and when they can no longer produce milk at a fast enough rate, they are sent to be killed. They generally aren't very old at this point either - most of them are about 2 years of age.
Basically, I feel that animals should not be exploited. This means that they are being used by humans for what they have. These animals cannot consent to what is being done to them. I don't think that a cow is saying "Inseminate me, please! And then milk me for all that I have! Oh, and when I do have my baby that I will love a lot, take him away, lock him up, don't feed him so that his meat will be tender, and kill him at less than 6 months! I really want that!!!" And I bet most chickens probably would not want to just stay in a tiny enclosed cage with 5 other chickens pecking at them, and being forced to lay so many eggs per day.
These animals are being treated worse than slaves. I hope that some day the cruelty to animals will be looked upon how slavery is looked at in most places today. In the US, most people look at slavery that we had as a horrible blunder. A dark point in US history. These animals are treated as slaves.
So you can help by not consuming their products. What you are doing as a vegetarian now is awesome, so I hope you will not look at this as an attack. By even lowering your consumption of dairy/eggs you would be helping a tremendous amount more.
You can also stop buying animal products - especially leather. I know a lot of vegetarians who still buy leather which isn't very vegetarian of them!!! It's not much different than eating the cow. You are wearing their skin!
Anyway... another way you can help is to inform other people about this kind of stuff.. You don't have to be preachy (sort of like what I was doing), but you can inform your friends if they have a sincere desire. If I talk to people who have a sincere desire to know about my reasons for being vegan, I will tell them as much as they want to know. If people do not ask, they probably do not want to hear about it. It might make them "lose their appetitite" - which it very well should!!
I say if anything out there is gross enough to make me not want to eat the food I'm eating, then I just shouldn't be eating the damn thing!
Well, good luck to you in your vegetarian endeavors.
Reply:I think you need to concentrate on educating people in a logical unemotional manner, focusing on facts.
The facts are bad enough to not have to exaggerate.
Present facts to people who are in listening mode.
There are plenty of peole who try to teach via "outrage". This doesn't work. just think about the opposite. When meaty-trolls here tell you to eat meat, what do you do ? You just dismiss them as idiots. So, remember that and teach, not preach.
Look at Nilika vs Dylan above. Who gets more attention in the long run ?? Someone who insults, or someone who present logic ? I'll remember Nilika's comments but Dylan ?? wasn't he a song writer or something, thats all i remember about him
Reply:Take the advice given to you by NIkka and Michael H. Also, I will leave a couple of links that I think will help you. One is for Meetup.com. You can use this sight in order to find other animal rights advocates in your area. Activists get a lot more accomplished when they work in teams. Once you've met enough people you can start potlucks or start a veg society
for your city or town.
The second link I will leave is for Farm Sanctuary. It's one of the best animal rights and rescue organizations you can support.
You can also go to Peta's sight and look at the "Adopt a College program". You'll find some of the most open minded people at Universities and technical schools.

Reply:Nilika, I had never thought that about eating eggs and milk :-(
You have great answers here. This issue also worries me and in third world countries the treatment of these animals is still worse.
Animals have as much right as any human to have a dignified life. Having animals with no living conditions just waiting to be killed is barbaric. As it is barbaric the way dogs are kept in China just to be killed an eaten, as it is barbaric so many tortures to animals, even the way some owners treat their own pets :-(
What I do is I sign as many petitions as possible and donate when I can (even if it is a little amount) to many organizations. I daily go to this place where is possible to find a large amount of petitions and information about sites that protect humans, animals and planet earth:
http://www.care2.com
Reply:First, write to the FDA and politely ask that they enforce stricker standards for animal enterprises to reduce suffering of animals. Secondly, educate people on what happens in these factories. Third, write to congress asking that animals not be used in experimentation and request that alternatives to animal testing be mandated. You can write to individual companies requesting they use or construct more humane items. For example the wet seal uses rabbit fur in their clothing line. You could write to them requesting they use a fake fur alternative. You can create a display board and place it in your local library, health food store, or other location that might educate people on humane options. Whatever you do don't go and do something radical that makes every humane person look bad. The goal is to create peace and you can't create peace with violence. Identify a problem, educate others on the problem, and suggest an alternative. This is the best advice I can give you and while it might not help all the time if we get one step closer to a humane world we have accomplished a goal and that is what matters.
Reply:First and foremost, be kind. People who are hostile towards perpetrators of animal cruelty actually harm the movement towards ending it.
Lets say there are two speakers on podiums. One is showing their teeth and speaking of violent acts to protect animals, the other is speaking of the love and respect of all living things. Who do you think will sway others towards a more animal friendly lifestyle.
Reply:Easy question, difficult answer. The fact is that animal cruelty touches almost every aspect of our lives including the cosmetics and drugs that you use without giving a second thought or the milk we drink etc etc.Even the forests lands that have cleared to fill our never ending appetite is a cruelty to animals as without forests animals die and become extinct slowly or have to adjust to human way of life.
However on a individual level one can act in ways that will help animal cause. Some of them you have mentioned. The most important is not only to be completely vegetarian but also by not being extravagant.Food should only be taken as a necessity and not as a luxury.Cloths should be worn for longer period of time and not change the wardrobe after few wear.Any product that has animal origin should be avoided. Also, talking to people you know about this issue and bringing their attention is a big step as society starts to get involved. However, this step may make you a laughing stock and insensitive people will will tag you as crazy :)
Reply:you could try PETA or protest some cruel industry such as KFC or a make-up company that tests on animals.
Reply:That is such bullshit. I have personal experience with slaughter houses and relatives and friends on farms. All the slaughter houses and farms I have been to have never mishandled an single animal, and have killed them in the most painless ways possible. The only places that treat animals like crap are countries where humans are not treated much better. In which case, I think humans should get priority.
What really pisses me off about idiots like you is, how you "care so much" about your precious fυcking animals, yet humans are being killed everyday, and you vegaloonies don't seem to give a shιt. Try to fix the fυcking problems with your own species before helping God damn animals.

Can I model?
If i'm a 5'8" (17yr old) female wtih a thin yet athletic body type?
I have clear skin, straight teeth, and an outgoing, ambitious personality. I'm not conceited but I adore the fashion industry and I feel trying modelling would be a great experience.
What type of modelling would be best for me or should I not bother because I'm not super thin and super tall?
Can I model?
Go ahead and send pictures to some agencies in NYC if you're really serious about it. Try Ford, IMG, Elite New York, Next Models NY or Wilhelmina New York. If those don't work out, try a smaller, up and coming agency like New York Model Management or Major Model Management. You'll need to fit into an adult size two to be able to wear clothing used on fashion shoots. And to have thick skin because agents and scouts can be really mean sometimes.
Reply:try getting an agent then go to castings to see if you can make it.
but remember to be open for all sorts of new stuff, like changing your look, because those casting people are looking for blank palletes. :]

Don't lose any more weight; being thin and athletic is very pretty, and you'll have way more oppurtunities if you have some meat on you.

It depends upon what type of modeling you hope to do. High fashion/runway usually looks for a model that isn't "athletic", someone super thin. There are plenty of other types of modeling and/or acting. Catlogue and advertisement work is generally plentiful. The first, most difficult step may be finding an agent you can trust.

Reply:tall and skinny is a very popular look in the fashion industry.
all i would say is make sure you know that whatever they say is not necissarily true and that they are going to be throwing stuff at you all the time (not litarelly) and you might at some point feel like breaking down and giving up. but if you just go in knowing that there are thousands of other girls just as beautiful as you and some might even be more beautiful who want to model, and they might pick one of them over you for whatever reason, and your gonna be fine with that, then don't worry about it and try. i'd say start out modeling for something small like a local store or something like that, just to get the hang of it and see if its something you wanna do. this is all just advice coming from experience. hope it helps.
Reply:Most models are real tall and some are even gangly. In the industry most designers want people who have some sort of unusual beauty to them. Look at your face and if you have any imperfections in your face that make you look better then it may heighten your chance. The reason being it makes your face stand out. Try different poses and especially work on not tensing your face and keeping your body natural looking. Also, work on your walk make sure you stomp (but not to hard), plant your feet, are able to walk in really high heels and keep yourself looking fierce (a combo of sexy and serious in a scary attractive way...some girls really need to work on this). Keep the walk close to your personal style. Apply simple makeup and clothes for any interviews. Depending on how you face looks you may wanna do:
Commercial: Young, happy, not stern look
High Fashion: Unusual Beauty, doesn't really matter as long as you can make yourself look different ways easily
Runway: Fierce, Sexy, Kind of hard...sometimes makeup can make u look anyway depending on your face
Also many different designs call for almost serious looking, kind of stern face
Hope i helped! :-)

all i would say is make sure you know that whatever they say is not necissarily true and that they are going to be throwing stuff at you all the time (not litarelly) and you might at some point feel like breaking down and giving up. but if you just go in knowing that there are thousands of other girls just as beautiful as you and some might even be more beautiful who want to model, and they might pick one of them over you for whatever reason, and your gonna be fine with that, then don't worry about it and try. i'd say start out modeling for something small like a local store or something like that, just to get the hang of it and see if its something you wanna do. this is all just advice coming from experience. hope it helps.

Reply:I think that if you posted a pic everyone would have a better opinion, but i think that trying modeling would be a great experience and that you should give it a try because who knows you could be really good at it. Go to your nearest modeling agency or make a portfolio at http://www.fordmodels.com or another site like that to help you get started and maybe do an advertising for a local business and see where that takes you. I hope you have fun!

Pfft.. Go Figure Sister,
Is it true that Ashlee Simpson has part of Michael Jackson's nose?
Well...you know how rumors fly around in the entertainment industry. The latest is that Michael Jackson had part of his gross nose removed, and the skin was used in Ashlee Simpson's nose job. She was reported as saying she would be able to be more creative if Michael Jackson was part of her.
Is it true that Ashlee Simpson has part of Michael Jackson's nose?
I say no because he didn't have any nose to give!
Reply:I would like to have sex with Ashlee Simpson.

Reply:yes, of course it is true. I am sure you heard it from Susie, who heard it from Fred, who of course knows Lillian who is a cousin of Ashlee's best friend's uncle who was in school with the person who cut the lawn of the brother of Michael Jackson's maid with the red hair. Don't you KNOW anything?

Do i have a chance in modeling?
Well okay. To start off I am 14 years old and I was thinking of persuing modeling. A lot of people have me that I am beautiful and that I should really look into modeling, but I am only 5'4 [but HOPING to put on a few inches, but it's probably not likely]. I know that I could never go into anything series like runway walking or high fashion because I'm not tall enough, but I definitely have the body and the face. People also comment on my hair, and say that I look like a porcelain doll as my skin is flawless and my eyes are very big. Is there any part in the modeling industry that DOESNT need tall models? I'm really mostly into acting, but as people have been telling me that i should possibly look into modeling, should i even bother? Any thoughts would be helpful! Thank you =]
Do i have a chance in modeling?
yes you can i did but i rejected I'm only 5'1 and yeah so yeah totally you can ( I'm not that pretty and i got in )
Reply:you could definitely do like commercial modeling.
they don't require a certain height, its like modeling for catalogs or abercrombie, forever 21, jcpenney stores like that. and it doesnt require a high fashion masculine look.
Reply:Editorial modelling doesn't require as much height as runway modelling. 5'4 is really short. In the modelling world, 5'6 is pushing the minimum. I say if you really want to, pursue it. Start a portfolio. Go to castings to get the experience.
Reply:sounds like you could make it, but i'd help a lot to have a pic :)
by the way, do u go to ocean spings high???? u sound like a girl who does.........
Reply:yes you can if you stick your head in the game i dont need a pic you could be what ever you want to be just wait a little longer and you will see
Reply:You should totally pursue your dream I'm 15 yrs. old and I'm only 5'3 I live in Houston,TX and I took a modeling course at Mayo-Hill Centre for Modeling and they did tell me that I'm not tall enough to do runway but they also said that there's petite fashion shows. If being an actress is what you really want you should go for it!!! The first step you should take is to take acting lessons or modeling lessons and when you're done with that you should look for an agency to represent you. Since I just finished my lessons I'm going to to do a profesional photo shoot and I'm going to get a contract with the Neal Hamil Agency!!! To answer your question yeah there's a lot of things in the modeling industry that you don't have to be tall for. You can do commercials, ads, and commercial print which is being in magazines billboards and stuff like that. You should really try it. If you really rather act then do that it's really fun don't be shy in front of the camera. Even though people tell you to model if you want to act forget them and do what makes you happy. If you want to talk don't hesitate to e-mail me.

Not everyone can be a model. We need a picture to know for sure. Just because you get complimented doesn't mean you're pretty enough to model. Everyone gets compliments like the ones you gave as examples.
